Chairman of Opus International Consultants, Basil Logan has announced the appointment of Kerry McDonald to the new position of Deputy Chairman of the Opus Board. He also announced that incumbent Opus Chief Executive, Dr Kevin Thompson, has been appointed to the Board as Managing Director.
In making the announcement, Mr Logan said that the appointment of Mr McDonald, who joined the Board in April this year, was in recognition of his wide experience in public listed companies both in New Zealand and in Australia.
“The skills that Kerry brings are of particular value to the Board as the company moves towards NZX listing and further international expansion,” said Mr Logan. “Likewise Kevin brings to the table proven leadership skills and his strategic vision for the company.”

Dr Thompson was made CE in 2001 and has been responsible for leading Opus’ growth, particularly in offshore markets through a process of both acquisition and expanding market share.
Both positions take effect immediately.
